Yes, as STP is not a permanent home for any pet, the max stay is 4 months. Extensions can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

STP requires a 2- shot DHPP vaccination series for dogs older than 6 months and a 3-shot DHPP vaccination series for dogs 6 months and under. Vaccination series must be initiated prior to intake or by 8 weeks of age for any puppies in quarantine at STP. We require biannual kennel cough (bordetella) vaccine for all dogs 8 weeks and older. If Rescue cannot provide proof of initial DHPP vaccine at intake(if older than 8 weeks), STP reserves the right to vaccinate immediately. Any vaccines not administered prior to boarding that will be due and administered while in boarding, must be provided by Rescue upon intake. If not provided by Rescue and the dog is in boarding greater than 2 weeks, a set fee of $15 per vaccine will be added to boarding fees due. STP requires a negative fecal result upon intake OR deworming medication will be administered every 2 weeks while in boarding. Dewormer will be provided by STP at no additional charge. STP also requires monthly flea/tick preventatives for dogs in boarding. Flea/tick or other preventatives that will be due and administered during boarding, must be provided by Rescue upon intake. If not provided by Rescue and the dog is in boarding greater than 3 weeks, a set fee of $15 per flea/tick preventative will be added to boarding fees due.
Transportation can be provided (within reasonable distance) by STP as needed by Rescue for transportation to and from STP, to and from vetting appointments, to and from foster, and even to and from transport. A set roundtrip transport fee of $10 plus 50 cents per mile over 10 miles roundtrip from STP facility. Notice must be given ahead of time to ensure transportation is available. Longer transports can be arranged on a case-by-case basis.
